This project was to design a brand new four-bedroom detached house in the beautiful South Downs countryside, using sustainable materials and with eco-friendliness built in. The house is built from a timber and steel structure, then clad in oak with solar panels atop the zinc roof.

Designed with a focus on natural light and the integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, there is a seamless connection between the interior and the stunning garden and surrounding landscape. The roof and wall projections create shading to reduce solar gain and frame the fabulous views.

The open-plan living spaces are perfect for entertaining, and the spacious light-filled bedrooms provide a tranquil retreat and stunning views over the garden.
