If your house is a listed building, you occupy a special property that’s part of history. Grade 2 listed buildings, the most common, can be full of character, with unusual and attractive original features.
But what makes them unique doesn’t always lend itself to modern living. And can make things tricky when it comes to making changes or extending.
The good news is that, within certain limitations, there is scope for alterations and renovations. But it’s crucial to take some good advice before restoring or attempting to remodel a listed building.
Many of my projects involve altering or extending listed buildings and I pride myself on designing sympathetically and complementing the heritage of the property. I will bring my flair for innovative design, my understanding of older buildings and my years of experience to create a scheme that makes you love your original home even more.
I’m the only architect currently using virtual reality (VR) to give clients a visual guided tour of my designs. Experience how your home could look – before you make a decision, and the builders arrive. It’s like a test drive.
