sensitive approach to give it a contemporary feel and more cohesive layout.<\/p>\n<p>In the past, the property had been two separate dwellings and the layout was far from ideal.<\/p>\n<p>The owners were very receptive to my suggestion of creating a sliding glass wall into the courtyard to open up the house, inject more light and connect the ground-floor living spaces. By using the same high-quality stone floor inside and out, I knew this would help to reinforce the visual connection.<\/p>\n<p>The flow from the kitchen to the dining room and out to the courtyard garden is now much better. Two new bathrooms have also helped to enhance this home.<\/p>\n<p>[\/column]<\/p>\n<p>[column grid=&#8221;2&#8243; span=&#8221;1&#8243;]<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We couldn\u2019t be happier with the results. From the outset, Carl was very clear about the exact work he would undertake and how much that would cost.
