This Victorian terrace house in Southsea is typical of the area and had some beautiful original features which the clients wanted to retain. The space was rather narrow and the rear of the house wasn’t working for them at all, so I designed a small extension that would enable a more functional space, a better kitchen design and bring some light to that part of the house.
The owners, Paula and Andy, have complemented the original stained glass with vibrant modern colours and created a unique home full of character.
When we contacted Carl, he immediately understood what we wanted to do. He managed to keep the love in the house by retaining our stained glass windows, while at the same time making the space more usable and created a beautiful kitchen-diner and separate utility room.
The house works better for us as a family. I can honestly say it’s changed the way we live our lives at home.
