I’ve had a long association with this little house, tucked into the yard of a Grade II listed building.
The owners asked me to convert their garage into a house back in 1999. Then, in 2013, I was asked to design an extension and refurbish the property.
Although compact, this home makes the most of the available space, with an airy first-floor living room and kitchen.
I love designing small spaces and get a real sense of satisfaction by making the most out of what others may regard as a challenging task.
I project managed and administered the building contract during construction, since the clients were living in Spain at the time. Having made regular site visits to monitor progress, and dealt with site queries, we hit the deadline of completing the project before the couple returned from Spain.
