My clients realised their unassuming bungalow had amazing potential because of its wonderful setting, nestling right in the heart of the South Downs National Park.
I was thrilled to help them make the most of this breathtaking location by totally rejigging the layout to include a large open-plan kitchen/family room, plus a stylish veranda and four bedrooms that all now face the view over the garden and towards the rolling hills.
The house has been clad in my favourite timber – Western Red Cedar – and looks better as every season passes.
Using my extensive experience, I’ve been successful in obtaining planning permission in this sensitive area, for not only this ‘bungalow-to-house’ conversion but for another project in the South Downs National Park.
Carl helped us to transform a boring bungalow into a fabulous timber-clad forest house. Before we bought the house we interviewed several architects, but stopped looking as soon as we found Carl.
Throughout the 2 year process, he always listened to our ideas and improved on them. He managed to keep within a tight budget, and three years on the family home continues to provide us with joy.
